Volunteers Needed for Food Delivery due to COVID-19
With the closure of large gatherings, local farmer’s markets are now being postponed. This means farmers don’t have a place to sell and consumers can’t get local food. We are working with a local farm products food distributor, Three River Farmers Alliance, who has begun delivering to individuals during this period of shutdown through their Veggie-Go program. While Three Rivers has the capacity to deliver food, they are now in need of volunteers to pick up from farmers, restaurants and wholesalers in order to meet the increased demand.
