Meetup to Slow Down at Slow Sips

Thursday November 12 @ Vida Cantina, Portsmouth with Chef David Vargas.  Located at 2456 Lafayette Rd (Route 1) Portsmouth, NH. Vida Cantina is a modern Mexican restaurant using the best local, seasonal and organic ingredients. Come down and check it out!

Slow Food Seacoast invites you slow down for a new twist on our Slow Sips. We’ll be connecting with some of our favorite restaurants,  those chefs and entrepreneurs who embrace Slow Food values, and feature a different establishment each month. You know the folks, those awesome and talented chefs who have given their time to make our Farm-a-Q and Heirloom Harvest Barn Dinner the delicious successes they have become. Now we want to meet them in their element – where the magic happens in the kitchen.

Slow Sips. Doesn’t that sound refreshing? That’s the purpose of these get togethers: to refresh and inspire our commitment to eating well and supporting locals. The chef will create a special dish and beverage option for the evening based on a local theme, in addition to the regular menu items. Then we’ll hear a bit about how and why they choose to use clean food and to work with local growers.  Slow Sips is an open invitation. No advanced tickets, no reservations, just an opportunity to meet and mingle with others who share the same passion for food. All Slow Sips are usually mid-week and start at 5:30 unless otherwise noted.
