Slow Food Thanksgiving 2018
Join us for our 13th Annual Slow Food Thanksgiving Dinner! This yearly event is a wonderful way to celebrate the season by sharing a meal in community. Slow Food will provide the turkeys and local seafood; guests bring the side dishes.
This year we are hosted by the Green Acres Baha’i Center in Eliot ME. Located on the Piscataqua River, the center is a welcoming and beautiful place to gather together. The kitchen and dining area are fully stocked with dishes and glassware so there is no need to bring your own dining kit. Please note however that the center does not allow alcohol.
Take the local challenge! Bring a potluck dish to share that includes at least one locally grown ingredient. This could be from a local farmer or something you or a friend grew in their own garden. Slow Food will be providing the turkey and local seafood as the main dish.
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED: As with all our events, we are in need of people to help with set-up, serving and breakdown. Sign Up to volunteer HERE.
All donations benefit the ongoing programs of Slow Food Seacoast and help to cover the cost of the main course and facilities. Tickets are $12 for Adults and $10 for Slow Food members. Children under 12 are free
We look forward to sharing food and community together to celebrate the harvest!
