Summer SaladPlease join us on Sunday, July 15th for the first annual Farm-a-Q, a family BBQ and picnic at Tuckaway Farm in Lee, NH. If you’ve been a fan of our annual Down on the Farm Potluck Picnic, you will love this new twist on a great gathering. Slow Food is once again partnering with the Heirloom Harvest Project who’s mission is to promote regional heritage foods,  agricultural diversity and the connections among farmers, chefs, and consumers in our community.

We think that mission sounds pretty darn good and so will you, when you get a taste of the delicious, multi-course, buffet style picnic meal that will be offered at this event! We can’t tell you just yet exactly what is on the menu because it will be whatever is fresh and ready in the fields of local farms that week. Similar to the September Heirloom Harvest Barn Dinner,  farmers have been teamed up with chefs to grow out and cook up the best of what’s fresh and ready in mid-July. You can be assured it will be incredibly tasty, impeccably prepared and feature both heirloom vegetables and locally raised heritage breed animals.
